Materials: Found objects, copper, stone.
“These objects are a gut reaction to a previous theme regarding the kitchen. How could I think of the kitchen without thinking of my home, which at the time was so far away? A year abroad in Finland has been far too enjoyable to leave room for homesickness. Yet one association can make anyone yearn to be back where they belong; food. Childhood memories of my Grandmother making potato apple bread on a griddle, Pancake Tuesday traditions and being taught to bake by my mother, are all emotive in their small way when you are away from home. I’m glad to say homesickness only meant this much to me.”
